Havent used it at work yet but great full detail maps and dead on my position on the ground! Great start...

Please make it available in Canada with a proper map and airport database and you will be golden !!

Till yesterday, the screen has been displayed. But somehow it has been showing all grey since this morning. The setting screen is displaying without any problem so I believe some bug is interfere for showing maps. My Internet connection speed is over 50 MBps for regular Internet use from PC and iPad, however downloading single chart takes over 2 to 3 hours (sometimes over 12 hours). The charts for this application are most likely scanning, I can see some part of charts is not aligned. I am not recommend to spend your cash to purchase this application till major bug will be fixed. Addition(2011-07-15) Deleted this application and downloaded again from app store. Reinstalled application again. Now it is working without grey screen. However all downloaded sectional charts has been deleted.

Non functional...

I experimented with this while riding along during a 2 hour flight this weekend. The good: It was handy to have the charts and be able to pull up the airport info with a touch. The bad: I found the the software locked up often on my iPhone 4 making it impossible to scroll or zoom, let alone have the chart follow the plane with gps. I restarted the app several times, as well as the phone, but found the behavior the same after a few minutes of use. While allowing the chart to follow us, it was often several minutes behind our actual position, but did not give any indication that the location was out of date. I feel like this software has great potential and I look forward to reviewing again after further refinement.

This app looks similar to Skycharts on Vfr mode, but features selectable waypoints for route planning. However, the app would not display your route details. Looking forward for more features such as dtk, te, etc. Not sure why the flight plan route is in red, would prefer magenta.

Works great on my ipad2! Nice to see exactly were I am at with just a glance.

With just a few more features this could a great app. Looking forward to the next update. Great support. Will answer your questions in a timely manner.

Seems to be pretty good.

Ive been using this app for 2 months now, and it works great! You can plan your flights, download maps for offline usage, and plus no subscription fee is needed. As a bonus you can even export your flights to Google Earth and see the profile in 3D! Really cool app, totally worth the cost. I plan to check it out on iPad as soon as I can get my hands on one.

This is a great app for the money. Im a student pilot and it definetly helps when u get in a pickle.

Just updated today and now it shows Im at Boston even though Im in LA. Bug needs to be fixed.

I have had this app for a few months. It continually crashes all the time when using. It literally takes days to download the sectional charts because they stop downloading the second you get out of the app, even if it is running in the background. Very frustrating and have not seen any good updates. Spend a little more money and get an app that is reliable.

Crashes every time. Averages more than a day to get one sectional to cache. Dont waste your money or time

This app has never worked. I have tried it on an iPhone 3G, and 4s a well as an iPad 2. Map caching just crashes the app and the gps rarely locates you. Terrible!!! Not worth FREE!

It cannot download sectionals for offline usage. Sent few emails, but no luck. Nobody answers back. Totally crap. Dont waste your money on this.

Functions well on short, low speed trips. Downloads are a serious pain. Wifi can be super high speed or home link, it drops either way. When it gets hot, it can do a sector in 10 minutes. Wish I knew how to keep it warmed up as I have worked the download thing hard. One cross country requires 8-12 sectionals. Do not wait until pre-flight!

Works just as well as some $700 GPS units and is a great resource to have on cross countries.

Its a pretty good app and I like the idea of stored maps although It does take a while to download them. For the money this app works well.
